There is a strong link between mental illness and substance use disorders, highlighting the need for integrated mental health and substance addiction services.
Texas Council supports integration and expansion of substance addiction services through our initiative to help every Community Center become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC). The CCBHC model of care ensures access to integrated substance use disorder and mental health services; upholds high standards for timeliness of access, quality of reporting, and staffing and coordination; and supports funding for service expansion to full meet the need for care in communities.
As part of CCBHC certification, Texas Council supports Centers in obtaining and maintaining substance use facility licensure.
